Fish and Wildlfe Biologist

Duties of the position include but are not limited to the following:
Identifying Refuge resources of concern and develops population and habitat objectives for those resources. Developing and reviewing Conservation Plans, Habitat Management Plans, Inventory and Monitoring Plans, NEPA documents, and other agency compliance and planning documents. Gathering, organizing, and interpreting biological, ecological, environmental contaminants, pathological, hydrologic or other pertinent information to ensure management plans are current and scientifically sound. Conducting mapping of habitat quality, quantity, and/or the presence and location of species. Developing clear and complete written documents, understandable by the general public, and effective for refuge manager and staff implementation. Preparing and presenting findings based on data analysis. Only experience and education obtained by 02/26/2020 will be considered. Education Requirement for the 0401 Occupational Series:
Degree:
biological sciences, agriculture, natural resource management, chemistry, or related disciplines appropriate to the position. OR Combination of education and
Experience:
Courses equivalent to a major, as described above, plus appropriate experience or additional education. You may qualify at the GS-09 level, if you fulfill one of the following qualification requirements:
1 year of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service. Examples of specialized experience may include:
Identifying Refuge resources of concern and develops population and habitat objectives for those resources; Developing and reviewing Conservation Plans, Habitat Management Plans, Inventory and Monitoring Plans, NEPA documents, and other agency compliance and planning documents; Conducting mapping of habitat quality, quantity, and/or the presence and location of species; Developing clear and complete written documents. OR 2 years of progressively higher level graduate education, in a discipline directly related to the position, leading to a master's degree or master's or equivalent. OR A combination of specialized experience and graduate education as described above that, when combined, equals 100% of the total requirement. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
